DUBLIN – The Early Lady Horns were denied a trip to the postseason by the Comanche Maidens as they dropped a 25-15, 25-19, 25-20 decision here Thursday in a play-in match for the fourth playoff berth from District 8-3A.
The Lady Horns finished the volleyball season with a 17-19 overall record after posting a 6-8 record in league play.
Against Comanche Thursday, Aubrie DeVillier paced Early with 10 kills trailed by three each from Jensyn Rasor, Karley Smith and Jordan Simmons and one apiece from Cassidy Frerichs and Grey Pruett.
Pruett distributed 13 assists while Frerichs contributed three.
Jordan Simmons, Tyley Simmons and Gabby Benson served aces for the Lady Horns.
Defensively, DeVillier also led the team with 10 digs followed by nine from Benson, eight from Frerichs, five each from Pruett and Aliyah Harlan, four from Jordan Simmons, and two apiece from Rasor and Smith.
Rasor and Jordan Simmons both recorded two blocks for the Lady Horns.
