HAMILTON – The Bangs Lady Dragons’ wrapped up the regular season with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-18 loss to District 5-2A volleyball front-runner Hamilton Friday.
Playoff-bound Bangs (16-18, 3-5) is situated in a third-place tie with Coleman in the league standings, which has one game left Tuesday. A playoff to determine the third and fourth playoff seeds is likely in the future both teams.
Against Hamilton, the Lady Dragons received 11 kills from Kasey Solis, nine from Neeley Bradley, five from Ava Boren, three from Ashlynn Sliger and two kills from Cameryn Harmon.
Bradley finished with 15 assists and Boren contributed 11.
Boren, Cloey Petty and Julianna Ethridge recorded aces for the Lady Dragons.
Defensively, Ethridge logged 16 digs followed by 12 from Bradley, 11 from Boren, nine from Petty, six each from Solis and Justice Baker, five from Kylee Byler, two apiece from Harmon and Dyan McCurdy, and one from Sliger.
Sliger collected two blocks while Harmon added one.
