BRECKENRIDGE – The Early Lady Horns exacted revenge on its second straight opponent as, after knocking off Comanche on Tuesday, head coach Missy Vaughn’s squad took down Breckenridge, 25-18, 23-25, 25-12, 25-19 on Saturday in District 8-3A rematch.
Early (15-17, 4-7), which is now in the midst of a two-game win streak after picking up just two wins during the first half of district action, received 12 kills from Aubrie DeVillier, 10 from Jensyn Rasor, eight from Tyley Simmons, four from Karley Smith, three from Jordan Simmons, and two from Grey Pruett.
Pruett dished out 27 assists along with five from Cassidy Frerichs, and one each by Jordan Simmons, Tyley Simmons, Smith and DeVillier.
DeVillier served three aces accompanied by Tyley Simmons with three, Aliyah Harlan with two, and Pruett, Jordan Simmons and Gabby Benson with one apiece.
On the defensive end, DeVillier logged 25 digs followed by Pruett with 20, Benson with 15, Frerichs with 11, Jordan Simmons with seven, Smith and Tyley Simmons with five apiece and Harlan with four.
At the net, Rasor finished with five blocks, Tyley Simmons and Jordan Simmons each tacked on three, and Pruett notched one.
The Lady Horns continue their push for a playoff berth when they return to action at Eastland Tuesday.
