Tony Dewayne Roberts, 41, of Brownwood, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM Friday, October 11, 2024 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with William Herrera officiating.
Tony was born December 5, 1982 in Dallas Texas to Anthony Wayne Roberts and Terry Lynn Eaton. Tony had a step-father in his life that meant a lot to him that he would want mentioned as well, Simon Delce. Tony grew up in Brownwood since he was about 8 years old. He graduated from Brownwood High School and operated a business that he owned her in Auto Detail with many customers. Tony married Cherokee Caine after a long engagement, they have been together for about 15 years and were blessed with 4 children. Tony was a family man. He spent most of his time with his wife and kids. Tony liked to take the kids to the pools and parks, almost anytime you seen him, he had his babies or was with his wife. Tony always said his family was his greatest accomplishment. His son was a mini-me to Tony, they act the same, dress the same and have the same thought processes, his daughters carry their daddy’s special traits and aspirations as well, they were his lovely ladies. Tony loved his wife and could often be found taking a slow day off and spending the day at home with everybody doing something special or going somewhere driving, he loved to see the scenery. Tony loved sports and WWE. He was one of the coaches on his son’s football team and loved being involved. Tony was so full of life with a smile that shined across the room. He was a big joker, could turn any event into a comedic venture and made friends everywhere he went.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Cherokee Roberts of Brownwood; daughters, Ta’Lexus Roberts of Brownwood, Aires Roberts & Majesty Roberts of Brownwood; his son, King Roberts; his mother, Terry L. Eaton of Brownwood; brothers, Marcus Roberts of Brownwood and Royce Thompson of Dallas, Texas; sister, Gabriel Colbert of Dallas, Texas; and many cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
Tony is preceded in death by his stepfather, Simon Delce; his grandmother, Lula Jean Stanberry; and a nephew, Tyriq Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that due to the circumstances and the abrupt immediate loss of Tony, donations be made to Heartland Funeral Home to assist in the cost of funeral preparations and other needs Cherokee and the children may need.
