EARLY – After forcing Millsap to five sets in the District 8-3A volleyball opener Friday, the Early Lady Horns were overpowered by league rival Peaster Tuesday, falling in straight sets, 25-14, 25-17, 25-8.
The Lady Horns (11-12, 0-2) received two kills apiece from Jensyn Rasor, Karley Smith, Aubrie DeVillier and Ellie Shea, and one from Grey Pruett.
Pruett distributed four assists and Cassidy Frerichs added three.
Pruett also served an ace for Early, as did Aliyah Harlan.
On the defensive end, Gabby Benson registered 15 digs trailed by DeVillier with 10, Pruett with six, Harlan with five, Tyley Simmons with four, Frerichs with two and Shea with one.
At the net, Shea notched two blocks along with one each from Smith, Simmons, and Rasor.
The Lady Horns resume district action at noon Saturday at No. 22 Comanche.
