Bangs ISD’s Director of Operations, David Garcia, welcomed Bangs Police Department, the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, and members of Brown County’s Emergency Management Team to Bangs ISD on Sept. 5th.
“Our main goal was to give our first responders an opportunity to see the safety and security measures we have taken here at Bangs in order to provide a safe environment for our students and staff,” stated Garcia.
The team members were given new maps to the school showing the new door numbering system and the knox boxes that were installed last year.
“Bangs ISD is fortunate to have a great working relationship with our city law enforcement and with county law enforcement agencies. We walked the campuses to check on security items, gave our Raptor System a run and had an external door check as well. All of our items are working like they should be and the team members expressed their appreciation for the work we have put in for our district.”
Bangs has recently purchased the remaining programs under the Raptor System to provide several layers of safety for all students and staff.
