The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of June 5:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 79 degrees; 1.74 feet below pool. Black bass to 7.25 pounds are slow on jigs, shaky heads and top waters in 2-10 feet. Crappie to 11 inches are excellent under docks on minnows and jigs in 6-12 feet. White bass to 12 inches are slow on crankbaits and small swimbaits with some topwater action early and late. Catfish are good to 10 pounds on cut or prepared bait at Thrifty Park and on jug lines in the main lake.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water stained; 80 degrees; 11.81 feet below pool. Bass and crappie are good on minnows in 10 feet of water. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Water stained; 78 degrees; 8.71 feet below pool. Lake Coleman continues to rise. Expect the bite to slow, and fish to explore new submerged vegetation. Bass should be off of vegetation on soft plastics.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 78 degrees; 28.92 feet below pool. Lake level is on a slight rise. Black bass are fair with catches up to 8 pounds. Good numbers on small swimbaits, crankbaits and 10 inch worms shallow early and late in day. Lots of schoolers around deeper trees during the middle of the day. Crappie are good on minnows in rivers with some limits 6-12 feet. White bass are fair on rattle traps and topwaters early down by the dam area. The bite is good at night. Channel catfish fair in 3-6 feet. On a variety of stink baits and earthworms. Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.

LAKE PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 75 degrees; 1.79 feet below pool. Shad are running the shorelines attracting predator fish shallow. The only ones that are not open are Copperas Creek Day Use and Promontory Campground.
