Following Saturday’s thunderstorms and flooding in Brown County and the surrounding area, the Lake Brownwood water level is up more than 3 feet, according to waterdatafortexas.org.
As of 6:30 a.m. Monday, the lake’s water level stood at 1,418.85 feet, or 6.05 feet below pool, and is 71.2 percent full – the highest numbers since early August 2023.
The water level is still rising slightly, as over the last three hours the gains have been 0.02 feet per hour.
On Friday, the lake’s water level was 3.24 feet lower at 1,415.61 feet, or 9.23 feet below pool, and 58.7 percent full.
Lake Brownwood’s maximum normal operating level is 1,424.9 feet.
In the last 365 days, Lake Brownwood’s water level peaked on July 3, 2023, at 74.5 percent full with a level of 1,419.56 feet.
