COLEMAN – The Bangs Lady Dragons concluded a perfect run to a second straight District 6-2A softball championship with a 10-1 road victory over Coleman Tuesday afternoon.
Bangs (18-8, 10-0) led 2-0 after two innings, 3-0 after three, 3-1 through four, 4-1 after five, and put the game away with a six-run top of the sixth inning.
The Lady Dragons generated 16 hits against Coleman (11-13, 8-2), led by three apiece from Cheyenne Rush, Mattisyn Taylor and Emily Baker, who drove in a run. Abby Wolf tallied two hits and four RBIs, while Jadyn Miller logged a pair of hits as well. Neeley Bradley, Julianna Ethridge and Jordan Valdez chipped in a hit and an RBI apiece.
In the circle, Wolf gave up one earned run on six hits with 12 strikeouts and no walks.

Bangs Dragons 2, Coleman 0
BANGS – The Bangs Dragons moved into a share of first place in the District 7-2A baseball standings with a 2-0 home victory over Coleman Tuesday.
Bangs (14-8, 8-2) scored both its runs in the bottom of the third inning against Coleman (15-6-1, 8-2) as Zack Ferguson tripled home Kenny Cole, who reached on a walk, and later scored on a wild pitch – all with two outs.
The Dragons finished with just two hits – one by Ferguson and a single by Kade Minshew.
On the mound, Cole went the distance and recorded the shutout, allowing just three hits with 14 strikeouts.

Breckenridge 10, Early Lady Horns 4
EARLY – The Early Lady Horns slipped to 7-19 overall and 4-9 in District 8-3A softball action with a 10-4 loss to league-front runner Breckenridge Tuesday.
Early led 1-0 after one inning but Breckenridge (22-10, 11-2) answered with eight runs in the second to seize control.
The Lady Horns finished with nine hits – two each by Gabby Leal and Marissa Reedy and one apiece by Aubrey Greaves, Stoney Laughlin, Rylee Tupin, Sydney Greaves, and Katlyn Cates. Leal recorded two RBIs and Tupin and Laughlin added one apiece.
In the circle, Sydney Greaves and Leslee Beard combined to surrender three earned runs on seven hits with four walks. The Early defense committed seven errors.

Breckenridge 6, Early Longhorns 0
BRECKENRIDGE – The Early Longhorns tumbled to 3-8 in District 8-3A baseball standings and 6-16-1 for the season with a 6-0 loss to Breckenridge Tuesday night.
Breckenridge (20-3-1, 10-1) scored single runs in the second, fourth, fifth, and sixth innings, along with a pair in the third.
Early was limited to five hits – two by Rohyn Price and one each by Ki Houston, Kamden Gamblin and Weston Barton.
Pitchers Ethan Pallette and Landen Brandstetter combined to give up three earned runs on 11 hits with five strikeouts and four walks. The Longhorns defense committed six errors.
