The sales tax allocations for April were released today by the Texas Comptroller’s Office. The City of Early received an increase over April 2023, while the Cities of Brownwood and Bangs had decreases. The April allocations are based on taxable retail sales in the month of February 2024. BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood received $508,662 in April, a decrease of 6.96% from April 2023. Fiscal year-to-date (October 2023 through April 2024) Brownwood has received $4,046,285, down 1.85% vs. the previous fiscal year.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $169,611 in April, down 1.73% vs. April 2023. Fiscal year-to-date, the Brownwood MDD has received $1,324,929, down 0.71% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
EARLY
The City of Early received $192,310 in April, an increase of 2.52% vs. April 2023. Fiscal year-to-date, Early has received $1,451,657, down 8.01% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Early Municipal Development District received $63,365 in April, up 2.20% vs. April 2023. Fiscal year-to-date, the Early MDD has received $473,204, down 8.45% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
BANGS
The City of Bangs received $17,573 in April, down 0.85% vs. April 2023. Fiscal year-to-date, Bangs has received $150,637, up 6.69% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Bangs Municipal Development District received $2,544 in April, down 4.50% vs. April 2023. Fiscal year-to-date, the Bangs MDD has received $21,921, up 4.60% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
