The Brownwood Reunion Celebration kicks off Friday with 3 days of music, food, activities and much more, and organizers released the full schedule of events as well as the official festival map.
Crews of volunteer workers are busy Thursday night getting the festival set up for the full weekend of events.
Friday night (September 19) will kick off events of the weekend with the 5:00 p.m. start of the Hands on a House Competition at the corner of Adams Street and Carnegie, followed by Pat Green in concert at the Celebration Stage. Opening bands will include Ellashor and Van Wilks, and gates to the concert area open at 6:30 PM. Saturday night concerts will include headliner Restless Heart with Southern Cross opening. Tickets are $25 per night and are available online at CelebrateBrownwood.com or at the gate.
Saturday will start with the 5K/10K run followed by the “Feels Like Home – Grand Parade” at 10:00 a.m. There will also be entertainment at several small stages throughout the festival grounds of musical performances, gymnastics, cheer and dance teams performing. Brownwood’s Got Talent will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and last through 2:00 p.m.
Throughout the weekend, festival goers will be able to enjoy the Classic Car show at the Brownwood Coliseum, viewing the Community Art Show at the Brownwood Art Center, a variety of vendors, delicious food and snacks, face painting, caricatures, dunking booths, rock climbing wall, CrossFit obstacle course and much more. The Lehnis Railroad Museum and the Brown County Museum of History will also be open for visitors.
