TCMA is a statewide organization dedicated to ethical leadership, professional development, and education for city managers and local government professionals.
The position is elected by state-wide vote of TCMA members and serves a term of one year beginning in June of 2024. Following the one-year term, Mrs. Crawford will assume the role of TCMA President in June of 2025, and will serve in this role through the 100 Year Anniversary of TCMA in June of 2026.
In the role of President-Elect, Crawford will preside in the absence of the president, chair the TCMA Budget and Planning Committee (comprised solely of the TCMA Executive Committee), and perform special projects as requested by the TCMA President.
Mrs. Crawford is a highly respected leader in the Texas municipal government community. Crawford has served the City of Brownwood for 13 years. She joined the City of Brownwood in 2011 as the Director of Economic Development and in 2014, she became Assistant City Manager. Prior to finding her home in city management, Crawford worked for 11 years in marketing and administration for various private and public entities in Austin and Brownwood.
Her dedication to local government extends beyond Brownwood, as she has been actively involved in the TCMA for 10 years and has served in the following capacities: State Board Director-at-Large, Membership Committee Chair, Region 3 Vice President and President, and Allies Committee Member.
“I am honored to be elected by my peers as President-Elect of TCMA,” said Mrs. Crawford. “I believe in TCMA, city management, and the positive impact local government has on all residents.
