PEASTER – The Early Longhorns fell to 0-2 in District 8-3A baseball action and 3-10-1 on the season with a 7-0 loss at Peaster Wednesday.
The Longhorns were no-hit by Peaster (7-6-1, 2-0) hurler Aaron Alix, who struck out 11. Ethan Pallette was hit by a pitch, Ethan Pallette drew a walk and the Greyhound defense committed two errors.
Peaster struck for two runs each in the second, third and fourth innings and one more in the sixth.
Early pitchers Kamden Gamblin and Landen Brandstetter gave up four earned runs on six hits with eight walks, while the Longhorn defense committed five errors behind them.
The Longhorns host Millsap at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Peaster 16, Early Lady Horns 1
PEASTER – The Early Lady Horns suffered their second consecutive District 8-3A softball loss, 16-1 at Peaster Wednesday afternoon.
The Lady Horns (4-13, 1-3) yielded three runs to Peaster (11-5, 3-1) in the first inning, seven in the second, five in the third and one run in the fourth inning. Early scored its only run in the top of the first inning.
Marissa Reedy recorded Early’s only hit while Stoney Laughlin logged the Lady Horns’ lone RBI. Aubrey Greaves drew a walk to account for Early’s other base runner.
In the circle, Sydney Greaves pitched all four innings and gave up seven earned runs on 14 hits with three walks. The Lady Horns defense committed six errors.
Early is back in action at 5 p.m. Tuesday when it hosts Millsap.
