Martha passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 76, surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the residence of Mike and Martha Williams on March 16, 2024, in San Angelo, Texas. This time will be to honor the life of an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend.
Martha was born March 26, 1947, in San Saba, Texas to Harry and Grace Timberlake. She grew up in San Saba and that’s where she met the love of her life, Mike. She knew she hit the jackpot with him, and they were married on October 6, 1967, in San Antonio, Texas. Martha and Mike spent 56 wonderful years together until she passed.
Martha was known for her grace, class, strength, spunk, composure, intelligence, and of course her words of advice whether you wanted to hear them or not. There is no one else that could match her grace under fire. Regardless of any pain or discomfort she was going through, you would never see her sweat. Family and friends knew that Martha was a pillar of strength that they could always come to in times of need. She would always have the exact words of wisdom that they needed to hear. To her grandchildren, she will be forever known as Wonder Woman, with her lasso of truth.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry, and Grace Timberlake; a sister, Ruth Prokop; four brothers-in-law, Charles Williams, Jerry Williams, Gene Williams, and Jimmy Allen; her mother and fathers-in-law, David Williams, Lucille, and Herb Christian.
Martha leaves a legacy behind for her devoted husband, Mike Williams of San Angelo, son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Lisa Williams of Lubbock, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Wayne Beadles of Sundown, Texas; her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Braden Williams of San Angelo, Texas, Jacob Beadles of College Station, Texas, Abbie Williams of San Angelo, Texas, Allie Williams and fiancé, Nathaniel “Bob” Lopez of San Angelo, Texas, Shea Beadles of College Station, Texas, and Angelica Ruiz, Samuel Ruiz, and Feliz Ruiz all of Lubbock, Texas.
Others left to cherish her memory include her incredible sisters-in-law, Dodie Williams, Mary Williams, and Alice Jane Allen; also, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local library as Martha was an avid reader and loved her time spent at libraries over the years. She has passed this love for reading down through her kids and to her grandkids. You rarely saw Martha without a book in her hand or her Kindle close by. Nothing would honor her memory more than to help pass on that love to others.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Blaylock Funeral Home.
