On Wednesday, the Howard Payne University football program announced the addition of Jordan Carroll as receivers coach.
Jordan Carroll joins the HPU football staff after a very successful college playing career.
“Very excited to have Jordan join our staff as the receivers coach,” said head coach Kevin Bachtel. “Jordan has played at every level, and had a tremendous background. He will be a huge asset to the program.”
2nd Team All-Region wide receiver in 2023, Carroll was named an ASC 1st Team All-Conference selection appearing in all ten games and leading HPU in receptions with 58. He totaled 871 yards and an ASC-best 10 touchdowns including a season-high nine receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns versus Austin College.
After transferring to HPU from Louisiana-Monroe in 2022, Carroll was an ASC Second Team receiver with 36 catches for 674 yards and 11 touchdowns, Carroll was among the leaders in the ASC and the nation in receiving. He posted two 100+ yards games and had two TD receptions versus East Texas Baptist.
Carroll holds an undergraduate degree from Louisiana-Monroe and will complete his Master’s degree from Howard Payne University in May of 2024 in Sport and Wellness Leadership. Jordan and his wife, Klynne, reside in Brownwood.
