BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to force extra innings, then chalked up a run in the bottom of the 10th to secure a 10-9 victory over Stamford Tuesday night.
Leading 6-3 heading into the sixth inning, the Lady Dragons (5-3) gave up six runs to fall behind 9-6, but answered with a three-spot at the end of regulation. Scoreless through the first two extra innings, a single by Abby Wolf in the bottom of the ninth coupled with Julianna Ethridge reaching on an error produced the decisive run.
Bangs finished with 13 hits – four by Wolf, three with three RBIs by Ethridge, three with two RBIs by Jaycee Valdez, one hit and one RBI each from Jayden Miller and Sally Powell, and a hit from Justice Baker. Ethridge and Miller both homered for the Lady Dragons.
The Lady Dragons are next at the Georgetown tournament Thursday through Saturday
