Michael H. (Mike) Booth passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 30, 2014. He was born July 28, 1948 to Hubert and Leta Booth, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Keely. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, daughters, Jody Bryant and Kelley Knight of Tennessee, Christine Moore of Galveston, Texas; sons Tim Broun of Brownwood, Texas and Cameron Knight of Tennessee. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaitey, Jakeob, Matthew, “Lolli”, Jackie, Chandler, and Maddy.
He was born in Nashville, TN, but was raised on the San Xavier Indian Reservation in Arizona until he was 15. His family moved to the Nashville area at that time, and it was there he lived most of the time, and where he met and married Diane in August of 1988. He and Diane moved to Brownwood in 1989, and they have lived here ever since.
From riding bulls and rough stock in rodeo, working as a stunt man, working on a sheep station in Australia; from law enforcement to truck driving; cabinet making to production at the 3M plant in Brownwood and more, Mike led a full and active life until he became too ill to work. When he had to leave 3M on disability, he spent time doing what he could at their place, and making friends and visiting them. When he could, he would take their dog, Dollie, with him. He continued this until he couldn’t drive anymore after he fell ill in May. He was much loved and will be missed by many.
