He instilled in them the values of hard work, perseverance, and compassion, which will forever guide them in their lives.
Dedicated to his profession, Harvey embarked on a successful career as a Trucker Driver in the early 1960s. His passion for the open road began during his high school years, hauling cattle throughout Texas. His first big trip was hauling sheep to California. He said, “You couldn’t touch me with a 10 ft. pole.” He felt like such a big trucker and he never looked back. His expertise and skill in trucking earned him accolades and recognition among alot of the young men that he trained over the years. In 2006, he was honored as the State of Missouri’s December Trucker of the Month, a testament to his remarkable career. Harvey finally retired from driving in 2022 after logging 10 million safe miles.
Harvey’s unwavering work ethic was surpassed only by his love for his family and friends. He was always there when someone needed a helping hand, offering kindness and support without hesitation. His door was open to all, and his warm smile and infectious laughter brought comfort and joy to those around him. Harvey had an undeniable passion for country music and enjoyed dancing whenever the opportunity arose.
