LLANO – The Brownwood Lions suffered a third consecutive setback heading into the Christmas break, falling to Class 3A Llano Thursday afternoon by a 57-40 count.

Brownwood trailed 17-4 after one quarter, 29-16 at halftime, and 43-32 heading into the fourth period.

Casey Friebel led the Lions with nine points followed by Ike Hall, Morsello Hooker and Aaron Edmonds with seven apiece, Hayden Proffitt with six, Austin Pittman with two, and Ross Strasner and Weston Wolf with one point each.

The Lions (8-11) will return to the court Dec. 27-29 for the TexasBank Holiday Classic in Brownwood.
