TUSCOLA – Ice cold shooting from the floor in their first game in eight days resulted in a 61-13 loss for the Brownwood Lady Lions against Class 3A No. 2 Jim Ned Tuesday night.
The Lady Lions (6-3) – whose last outing was a 46-24 victory at Early on Nov. 20 – converted just 4 of 32 field goal attempts (12 percent) Tuesday and none of their 16 three-point tries. Brownwood also shot just 45 percent (5 of 11) at the free throw line and committed 18 turnovers with only 15 rebounds.
Kimber Green scored four points for the Lady Lions, Icess Hall and Kate Tindol each added three, Hannah Deen chipped in two and Trinity Roberts sank a free throw.
Jim Ned (7-1) received 18 points from Riley Grohman, 14 from Gracee Cooley and 11 points for Lexi Wishert.
The Lady Lions will attempt to bounce back at the Dublin tournament, which runs Thursday through Saturday.
