October is National Principals Month, and Brownwood ISD (BISD) is proud to recognize each of our principals for their hard work and continued dedication to the success of students in BISD schools.
Veronica Ballenger is the sixth-grade principal at Coggin Elementary School. She first joined BISD as a teacher in 2016 and was awarded Rising Star Teacher of the Year in 2018. Ms. Ballenger was promoted to Curriculum Coordinator in 2021 and this is her first year serving in BISD as a principal. Ms. Ballenger holds a Master of Education degree from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wichita State University. She is a state-certified teacher and principal. With several years of experience in leadership roles that range from serving as head of an English Department to cheerleading coach and National Junior Honor Society sponsor, Ms. Ballenger’s skillset includes nearly every aspect of education. From modeling engaging lessons for teachers in the classroom to her current role as a school administrator, Ms. Ballenger has proven to be an essential part of the BISD family.
BISD is grateful to have Veronica Ballenger as our sixth-grade principal, and we congratulate her on being recognized during National Principals Month!
