October is National Principals Month, and Brownwood ISD (BISD) is proud to recognize each of our principals for their hard work and continued dedication to the success of students in BISD schools.
Mykia Anderson is the Brownwood Middle School (BMS) Principal. She began with BISD, serving as the BMS Assistant Principal during the 2022-2023 school year, and has since been promoted. Anderson holds a Master of Education degree from Sul Ross State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from McMurry University. She is a state-certified teacher, principal, and holds a Superintendent’s license. Her years of experience as an administrator, teacher, and head coach have given her the ability to work closely with parents and students, providing guidance, support, and motivation that promotes academic excellence. Under her leadership, BMS continues to provide students with a variety of opportunities to excel, grow, and prepare for their pathways in high school.
BISD is thankful to have Mykia Anderson as our BMS Principal, and we congratulate her on being recognized during National Principals Month!
