- On Monday, October 2, 2023 at approximately 6:21 p.m., Deputy Ira Smith was dispatched to block of Highway 377 for a bull that had showed up at the property. A complainant advised that a black and white Longhorn Cross bull mix showed up at his property. The complainant does not know who the owner is and advised he contacted neighbors and none of the neighbor’s claimed ownership of the bull.
- On Friday, October 6, 2023, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident on CR 235. An individual was placed in custody for Driving While Intoxicated, after an investigation. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Friday, October 6, 2023, Deputy Michel Wilson, took a phone complaint about a theft that had happened on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the residence East US 377. A complainant advised that a suspect was stealing from her. Information was gathered and a report was made for further investigation.
- On Friday, October 6, 2023, at approximately 5:17 p.m.. Deputy Thomas Beloat, with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the intersection of Early Blvd and Longhorn Dr., in reference to an assault that occurred in the County. Information was gathered on the assault and an arrest was made for DWI, and Assault Family Violence.
- On Saturday, October 7, 2023, at approximately 11:14, p.m. a victim reported her 2001 F150 pickup stolen from 7000 block of North Highway 279. Deputy Ira Smith arrived at the location and was taking a report, when he was advised that the pickup was at the E-Z Mart on Highway 279. Deputy Smith arrived at E-Z Mart and recovered the vehicle, and arrested a suspect for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
- On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to 6720 US 377 East, Early, Texas, in regard to an Assault. Deputy Geis spoke with a victime, who claimed she was assaulted by her former roommate. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Saturday, October 7, 2023, at approximately 4:49 p.m., Deputy Thomas Beloat was dispatched to Smith Lane in Brownwood, regarding a domestic call. Pertinent information was gathered on a verbal dispute, and an information report was completed.
- On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Deputy Toby Mathis, along with other responding deputies, were dispatched to 377E for a report of an assault. Deputy Mathis arrived and spoke with a complainant, who said her roommate had pushed her during a verbal argument. Information was gathered and a report was made. The parties were separated.
- On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Deputy Toby Mathis, met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center in regard to a civil issue. Deputy Mathis spoke with all parties involved, and an information report was taken for documentation.
- On Monday, October 9, 2023, at approximately 2:08 a.m., Deputy Thomas Beloat was dispatched to County Road 152 in Brownwood, in reference to a suspicious person trying to steal a vehicle. Contact was made with a suspect who did have warrants and was in possession of a firearm. Pertinent information was gathered. An arrest was made for warrants. Oxycodone pills were located, hidden in a bindle in her backpack. She is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
- On Monday October 09, 2023, at 11:27 a.m. Sgt Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched on an information call regarding abandoned property. Dispatch advised that the caller wishes to stay anonymous. The caller advised, at Pine Dr., that the property had been abandoned, along with overgrown trash, trash, vehicles, and animals. Upon arrival at the residence, no contact was made. Information was gathered and a Public Nuisance report was made.
- On Monday, October 9, 2023, at approximately 5:42 p.m., Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched to Killarney Dr., Brownwood, TX, regarding a burglary that took place. The complainant stated she witnessed, and has video, of two men, driving up to a property she owned, and stealing items out of the home. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Monday, October 9, 2023, Sgt. Christopher Angel met with a complainant in reference to her dog being shot with a BB Gun. After further investigation, Sgt. Angel learned that a suspect had shot the complainant’s dog with a BB rifle, because the dog was on her property, located at County Road 158. A report was taken and charges of Cruelty to Non-Livestock Animals are pending against the suspect.
