The Brownwood Area and the Early Chambers of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Christian Business Women’s Network of Brown County on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, at the Early Visitors & Events Center.
The Christian Business Women’s Network is comprised of like-minded women in the business community who have a heart to serve and celebrate one another. As their mission states, “Women Supporting Women in Business and in Life!”
Founder and President, Melissa Vinson, had a vision to serve in a different capacity over 6 years ago. Utilizing her networking experience, Mrs. Vinson set out to create the first chapter of the Christian Business Women’s Network in Abilene during COVID. During that time, the need for connection was met and that inspired the launch of chapters in San Angelo, and Conroe, Texas.
Last fall, Mrs. Vinson mentioned that by faith, a chance connection with special Brown County local, Ms. Melissa Sanderson, the Brown County chapter of the CBWN was formed. Tuesday, September 12th, the local chapter held its first large event, Strategies for Success (For Women in Business) Conference. Speakers for the event were within the CBWN membership that specialized in topics such as Business Finance, social media, Public Speaking and Time Management. Melissa Vinson says she is, “Excited and looking forward to supporting and serving the women and community of Brown County.” The conference, like their mission, was set to encourage and to empower its attendees.
