KizerBeth Kizer passed away on Wednesday, March 19 at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Rising Star cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home with Dick Williams officiating.  Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Heartland Funeral Home Saturday morning.  She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Beth was born February 5, 1928 at home in Abilene, Texas to Ann and George H. Warfield. She graduated high school from McCamey, Texas in 1945. Beth attended University of Texas Medical in Galveston and studied nursing.  She later moved to Fort Worth and attended Texas Wesleyan Methodist University.

She met her husband, Ralph E. Kizer on a blind date and they were married in Fort Worth. They later moved to Rising Star where they raised their family and owned and operated Kizer Telephone Company, Kizer Insurance, and The Family Food Store.  We will remember her for her positive attitude, perseverance, sense of humor, and all the love and joy she brought into our lives.

Beth is survived by her two daughters, Betty Ann Childers and husband Harry of Rising Star and Mary Jane Ellis and husband Steve of Brownwood; four grandchildren, Robin Smith of Abilene, Kelly Runyan of Abilene, Justin Pittman of Brownwood, and Lindsey Pittman of Fort Worth and five great grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter Diana Lynn Kizer, one son Marc Edward Kizer, her brother George Warfield and wife Marlene and brother Jimmy Warfield.

Condolences can be offered to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
