GRANBURY – Playing without multiple key contributors, the Brownwood Lady Lions dropped a non-district road volleyball match to Granbury NCTA in straight sets Tuesday night.
“We fought hard but have two starters down with injuries and several other playing through sickness,” said Lady Lions first-year head coach Cheyanne Lovelady. “This weekend will be a great opportunity for us to heal and get ready for next Tuesday’s game.”
The Lady Lions (6-16) are off until Sept. 5 when they venture to Gatesville.
Against NCTA, standouts included Aniah Hines with six kills; Aubrie Felux with four kills and four aces; Emma Ringer with three aces and eight assists; Chloe Walls and Molly Oliver with two digs apiece; and Jeniffer Romero with one ace.
