The entrepreneurial spirit within 32-year-old Brownwood native Zac Browder has resulted in three successful business ventures.
Browder is currently the co-owner of Hydro-Tech Seemless Gutters, Duckhorn Construction and Ridge-Tech Roofing, along with Mitchell Jacobson and Taylor Brown, as the three entities work hand-in-hand.
“At Hydro-Tech Seemless Gutters, between myself and my partner now, Mitchell Jacobson who bought in with me in September 2022, and my family, we’ve been in business for 15 or 16 years here in Brown County and multiple surrounding counties,” Browder said. “We started building custom homes in 2019 under Duckhorn Construction with my dad, Steve, who’s now retired. Then on the roofing side, Taylor Brown is a partner in that and we just strive to put on the best roofs we can in Central Texas.”
Reflecting on the success his companies have enjoyed at such a relatively young age, Browder said, “It’s been fun, it’s been an adventure, but we’ve been very, very blessed. This community, I’ve been home for 10 years and working here the support has been great.”
As for the most rewarding aspect on his chosen career path, Browder said, “Working with and in the community and being a part of the community when we can is so important. Brownwood is really special to all of us, Taylor, Mitchell and I. A lot of what we’re doing right now, I give credit to those guys. There’s a lot to do and they do a whole lot, and that makes us a really good team. I feel very strong about the team around me. That’s what brings me a lot of joy is the opportunity to work with those two guys and build something here. We want to build here, be here and grow here. They’re great guys and a big blessing.”
Looking ahead to future business endeavors, Browder said, “We really want to continue to grow and provide quality service, seemless rain gutters, custom homes and roofs at the end the day. That’s what we do, what we love, and what we know.”
Browder and his wife Amber, the assistant director of nursing at AccelHealth have a 3 1/2-year old son and a daughter on the way.”
