The Early Longshots participated in the Scholastic Clay Target Program State Championship in San Antonio over the weekend.
Youth athletes from Brown County included

* Kayli DeVusser- Intermediate Advanced Lady
* Bryce Redden- Intermediate Entry
* Cooper McMillian- Rookie
* Ryan DeVusser- Rookie
High overall scores are made up of three events – American trap, American skeet and sporting clays.
Cooper McMillian received 3rd high Overall in the rookie division. He finished 3rd in American Trap; 4th in American Skeet; and 5th Sporting Clays. He also came in 1st place in super sporting (side event)
Kayli DeVusser is the Intermediate Advanced Lady State Champion winning the division by 13 targets.
She placed 1st American Trap (96/100); 1st in American Skeet 93/100 and took first after a shoot off; 2nd in Sporting Clays (83/100); 1st in Super Sporting (92/100), a side event; and 2nd in Trap Doubles (79/100), another side event.
