Lydia Margaret Massingill, age 83, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the Songbird Lodge Nursing Center in Brownwood.
She was born June 8, 1926 in Daisetta, Texas, the daughter of the late Auvurn Earl and Emma Elizabeth Griffin Arnold. She was married to Coy Massingill in Wharton County on December 6, 1945. She was a homemaker and an active non-denominational church member. She had been a resident of Brownwood for the past year.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Marie Needham and husband Ray of Zephyr

A Son – David Coy Massingill and wife Kathaleen of Crosby
Six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren
Two brothers – Edward Arnold of Roanoke, Louisiana
Dudley Arnold of Nederland, Texas
Numerous nephews, nieces, and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Needham and Rev. Robert McCauley officiating. A private burial will be in Florence, Colorado at Union Highland Cemetery on Wednesday.
