EARLY – The District 8-3A champion Early Lady Horns earned 11 all-district honors, included four superlative awards, from the league coaches.
Co-MVP of the district was sophomore Teagan Lopez, fellow sophomore Jordan Simmons was named Co-Catcher of the Year, and senior Grace LaRue was tabbed Utility Player of the Year. Also, the Lady Horns staff received Coaching Staff of the Year accolades.
Landing on the first team for the Lady Horns were juniors Stoney Laughlin and Aubrey Greaves, along with sophomore Marissa Reedy.
Making second-team all-district were senior Madison Torrez and Reagan Shults
Receiving honorable mention were senior Trinity Torrez and freshman Brooklyn McCullough.
The academic all-district roster featured 16 Lady Horns – Averey Horton, Gabby Leal, Jodie Lykes, Madison Torrez, Trinity Torrez, Saydi Vasquez, Kayle Wallace, Katie Whitehead, LaRue, Laughlin,, Lopez, McCullough, Reedy, Shults, Simmons, and Greaves.
Early finished the season with a 28-6-2 overall record under first-year head coach Kelbie Case, to go along with district and bi-district championships.
