Monday, December 16
*8:34 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue H regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime over the weekend, someone had struck her vehicle.
Tuesday, December 17
*7:17 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Belfast Drive regarding a report of theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her roommate had moved out while the complainant was staying with her mother and that she had taken a washing machine (valued at $150.00).
*7:56 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the area of County Road 344 regarding a theft of property. According to the report, a welding unit, trailer and other equipment (valued at approximately $4050.00) were taken without the consent of the owner.
*9:21 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of LaMonte Drive regarding an aggressive dog that was running loose in the neighborhood. This call led to the issuance of a citation to the dog’s owner for animal running at large, the report states. Police indicated that the owner had received several warnings prior to the incident.
*9:43 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, two inflatable snow men decorations and another smaller snowman were damaged or destroyed.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of a firearm. According to the report, the complainant stated that a Kember Custom 1911 – .45 caliber handgun had been stolen from his vehicle. No serial number was known nor was the exact date or location of the theft, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of illegal dumping in the area of County Road 405 near May. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had located the skeleton of a cow or calf and some trash on County Road 405 about three eighths of a mile from FM 2273.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Preston Richard Bishop of Early on a warrant related to theft and motion to adjudicate/theft.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Jesse David Deleon of Charlotte, NC, on warrants related to engaging in organized criminal activity, failure to appear, and evading arrest. Deleon is being held on bonds totaling $125,000.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old John Anthony Gowin on a warrant related to driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 25-year-old Daniel Spruill, Jr. on a warrant for sexual assault. Spruill is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Byron Kenneth Thurman, Jr. of Dublin, TX on Hood County warrants related to possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
