Rita Kay Laman, age 71, of Brownwood passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at her home.

Graveside Services for Rita will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood with Kelly Crenshaw officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Rita was born on March 6, 1952 to Burnie and Helen (Whitesell) Clevenger in Lovington New Mexico. She loved gardening and was a member of Full Gospel Assembly in San Angelo. Rita will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Those left to cherish Rita’s memory include her husband, Alan Laman of Brownwood; sons, Bennie Clevenger and Timmy Hamby and wife Fawn all of Alma, Arkansas, Skipper Laman of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and DeeWayne Laman and wife Barbara of Garland; daughters, Helen Myers and husband Jerry, and Angela Laman all of Brownwood; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Clevenger of San Angelo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
