Kelly Caldwell, 53, of Brownwood & San Saba County, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
There will be a visitation with family at Heartland Funeral Home from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 19, 2023.
Funeral service will be held at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 PM, Monday, March 20, 2023 with interment to follow at Spring Creek Cemetery in San Saba County, Texas.
Kelly P. Caldwell was born May 30, 1969 in Brownwood, TX to Jerry Don Caldwell and Carylon (Bates) Edmondson. He went to school in San Saba and later lived in Austin for a short time before moving back to Brownwood, where he married Jeannine Summerlin. Kelly and Jeannine had two children, Courtny and Chris. Kelly worked for Trans-Texas Tire and drove a truck. Later in life, he met Becky Thompson and made a life with her. Kelly was a stepfather to Macie, Daphney and Kaden and was grandfather to “Riley, Cole, Timberlie and Dorian”. He worked for Kohler several years before complications with diabetes caused him to become disabled. Kelly enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering with small engines, and helping his friends. He spent countless hours at the ranch helping his mom with projects.
Kelly is survived by his children Courtny (Kendall) Bell and Chris Caldwell. His mother Caryl Edmondson and his siblings Tina Klinksiek, Angela (Matthew) Riggs, Karan Edmondson, Dee (Jenny) Edmondson, Scott (Judy) Edmondson and Roy A Edmondson Jr. Numerous nieces, nephews and four great nephews. Aunts Deloris (VC) Tyler and Alice (Jimmy) Jennings. Uncle Ray (Diane) Bates also numerous cousins. Significant other Becky Thompson with honorary children Macie, Daphney and Kaden, honorary grandchildren Riley, Cole, Timberlie and Dorian.
Kelly was preceded in death by grandparents RC and Della Lee (Huggins) Caldwell. Floyd and Louise (Hamrick) Bates, Father Jerry Don Caldwell, Stepfather Roy Alton Edmondson. Several uncles, cousins and an aunt.
