Three HPU Volleyball Players Named Honorable Mention on All-ASC Teams

Howard Payne University volleyball had three players honored on the 2013 American Southwest Conference ALL-ASC volleyball teams, the ASC office announced Monday, after a vote of the league’s head coaches.

Shelby Bridges – HONORABLE MENTION ALL-ASC – Libero
Shelby finished the season with a team high 541 digs, good for 3rd in the ASC. She also led the team and was third in the ASC in service aces with 49. Shelby was named ASC Defensive Player of the Week three times in 2013.

Sarah Bishop – HONORABLE MENTION ALL-ASC – Outside Hitter
Sarah led the team with 354 kills, fourth overall in the ASC. She added 315 digs. Sarah was also named ASC Offensive Player of the Week once this season.

Hannah Hicks – HONORABLE MENTION ALL-ASC – Middle Hitter
Hannah was second on the team in kills with 260. She recorded a team high 123 total blocks, good for third in the American Southwest Conference.
