The Brownwood Lady Lions capped a District 5-4A sweep of Lampasas as they opened up the second half of league action with a 7-0 victory at Gordon Wood Stadium Tuesday night.
With the win, the Lady Lions (11-3-1, 5-2) – who also defeated Lampasas, 5-0, on the road on Jan. 27 – remained in third place in the district standings.
Kennedi Johnson led the charge offensively with four goals for the Lady Lions trailed by two from Molly Oliver and one from Ataleigh Constancio off a corner kick.
Assists were credited to Johnson, Addison Pesina, Braycee Lee, Adryanna Huerta and Jacklyn Lewis.
The Lady Lions will next host China Spring at 6 p.m. Friday in a rematch of Brownwood’s come-from-behind 2-1 road victory on Feb. 3.
