BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons notched their second straight District 8-2A victory Friday night, 44-19 over Colorado City, to thrust themselves back into the playoff mix.
The Lady Dragons led 15-3 after one quarter, 23-4 at halftime, and 33-12 heading into the fourth period.
Jadyn Miller paced Bangs with 15 points on five three-pointers followed by Joey Newton with 12, Kasey Solis with 10, Neeley Bradley with six, and Raylee Hutchins with one point.
The Lady Dragons host Coleman at 5 p.m. Monday in a make-up game that was postponed this past Tuesday.

May Tigers 35, Cross Plains 32
MAY – The May Tigers fought off the Cross Plains Buffaloes, 35-32, Friday night to remain alone atop the District 13-A standings.
May (21-4, 6-0) trailed 13-9 after one quarter and 19-17 at halftime, but drew even at 28 through three periods.
Braden Steele led the Tigers with 13 points followed by six each from Luke McKenzie and Ben Harrell.
May visits Moran Saturday in a district make-up game.

Breckenridge 42, Early Longhorns 36
BRECKENRIDGE – The Early Longhorns were dealt a third straight District 8-3A setback Friday night, falling at Breckenridge by a 42-36 count.
The Longhorns (5-5 in district) led 15-12 after one quarter, 23-19 at halftime, and 31-26 heading into the fourth period, where Early was outscored 16-5 over the final eight minutes.
Jaxyn Price led Early with 11 points followed by Kaleb Huffman with nine, Jeremy Brown with five, and John Hill, John-Stewart Gordon, and Rohyn Price with three points each.
The Longhorns host Millsap at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in a district make-up game.

Cross Plains 40, May Lady Tigers 35
MAY – The May Lady Tigers came up on the short end of a 40-35 decision against District 13-A rival Cross Plains Friday night.
May led 14-9 after one quarter, trailed 27-16 at halftime, and faced a 31-29 deficit heading into the final period.
Jodyn Gerhardt paced the Lady Tigers with eight points followed by seven from Chloe Lord and six from KenleighWilliford.
May will attempt to bounce back in a district make-up game at Moran Saturday.

Colorado City 46, Bangs Dragons 38
BANGS – The Bangs Dragons slipped to 0-6 against District 8-2A rivals with a 46-38 home loss to Colorado City Friday.
Bangs trailed 11-8 after one quarter, led 19-18 at halftime, and but fell behind 32-29 after three periods and couldn’t catch up.
Guy Funk led the charge for the Dragons with 14 points trailed by Tyson Woods with eight, Weston Jundt with five, and Guy Powell, Nate Stoffer and Braxton Wommack with three points each.
The Dragons welcome Coleman at 6:30 p.m. Monday in a district make-up game.

Breckenridge 54, Early Lady Horns 28
BRECKENRIDGE – The Early Lady Horns fell to 0-12 in District 8-3A action with a 54-28 road loss to Breckenridge Friday.
Avery Horton led Early with eight points followed by Dakota Barksdale and Caroline Welker with five apiece, Katie Whitehead with four, Madison Torrez with three, Lindsey Bastardo with two, and Jodi Lykes with one point.
The Lady Horns host Millsap in a make-up game at 3 p.m. Saturday.
