Brownwood High School’s Kaimon Ontiveros was nominated Monday for Gridiron Legends High School Player of the Week for Week Six.
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, along with both Wrangler Retro and Cavenders, gives a weekly Player of the Week award to the most deserving high schooler in the state of Texas. Every Monday at noon, TexasFootball.com announces ten candidates for that week’s award, based on the previous week’s on-field performance.
Fans can vote online at TexasFootball.com’s online poll, where you can see the current vote standings. Voting will close at noon each Friday, with the winner being announced shortly afterward. The award will be given every week through Week 11.
To vote for Kaimon Ontiveros of Brownwood High School, click here and scroll to the bottom right of the page and look for the fourth nominee listed, “Brownwood WR Kaimon Ontiveros (7 catches, 128 yards, 3 TDs receiving, game-winning 107-yard KO return TD).” Click the circle and the “vote” button below the nominees listed.
This season, each weekly winner will be automatically nominated for the Player of the Year award, presented with Cavenders, Wrangler Retro and the Texas Bowl. Those candidates will be announced in Week 13, and voting for that award will continue until the end of the high school season.
