BURNET – The Early Longhorns and Lady Horns powerlifters competed in the Burnet Invitational this past Thursday.

Leading the charge for the girls were Danielle Alcorta, who placed first in the 148-pound weight-class, and Alyne Celedon, was also finished first in the 181s. Both Lady Horns were named Outstanding Lifters as well.

For the Longhorns, Brooks Clippinger came in first in the 242-pound weight class trailed by Jacob Braun in second place and Keegan Sherrill in third.

In the 165s, Griffin Cheslock added a third-place effort for the Longhorns.

Early powerlifting will be back in action Jan. 26 at Ballinger.
