MORAN – The May Tigers opened District 13-A basketball action Friday night with a 67-7 win at Moran.
May (16-4, 1-0) led 19-0 after one quarter, 40-5 at halftime, and 59-7 through three periods.
Braden Steele led the Tigers with 18 points followed by Luke McKenzie with 10, Zach Martin with nine, and J.D. White and Wyatt Hardy with eight points each.
May visits Cross Plains Tuesday.

May Lady Tigers 52, Moran 9
MORAN – The May Lady Tigers moved to 16-9 on the season and 3-0 in District 13-A action with a 52-9 road win over Moran Friday.
The Lady Tigers were in front 9-0 after one quarter, 26-3 at halftime, and 35-8 heading into the fourth period.
Jordyn Gerhardt paced May with 16 points trailed by Ariel Parmer and Mya Musick with six points each.
May ventures to Cross Plains Tuesday.

Early Longhorns 44, Comanche 34
COMANCHE – The Early Longhorns collected their third consecutive District 8-3A victory, notching a 44-34 road win over Comanche Friday night.
The Longhorns (3-2 in district) led 14-7 after one quarter, 19-13 at halftime, and 35-22 heading into the fourth quarter.
Early received 14 points from Kaleb Hoffman, 10 from Jeremy Brown, eight from John Hill, six from Colten Allen, three from Andrew Catan, two from Rohyn Price and one point from Kamden Gamblin.
The Longhorns will visit Eastland at 7:30 pm. Tuesday.

Coleman 48, Bangs Dragons 42
BANGS – The Bangs Dragons began their District 8-2A slate Friday with a 48-42 home loss to Coleman.
The Dragons (0-1 in district) trailed 16-12 after one quarter, 24-20 at halftime, and 35-30 through three quarters.
Bangs was sparked by Guy Funk with 14 points, 10 from Guy Powell, eight from Zack Ferguson, five from Tyson Woods, and three points from Nate Stoffer.
The Dragons travel to Colorado City at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons slipped to 0-3 in District 8-2A action with a third straight loss by a bucket or less, 39-38 to Coleman Friday night.
Bangs’ three league losses have been by a total of four points – two by one and the other by two.

The Lady Dragons head to Colorado City at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
