The January sales tax allocations received by the cities of Brownwood and Early were both up more than 11% over January 2022, while the allocation received by the City of Bangs was essentially even with last year. The allocations received in January from the State Comptroller’s office represent sales taxes collected in November 2022. Details below.
BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood received $569, 567, an increase of 11.55% over January 2022. Fiscal year to date (October 2022 through January 2023) Brownwood has received $2,308,480, up 8.01%.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $188,750 in January, an increase of 8.20% over January 2022. Fiscal year to date the BMDD has received $753,646, up 7.41%.
EARLY
The City of Early received $222,449, an increase of 11.93% over January 2022. Fiscal year to date Early has received $944,702, up 28.14%.
The Early Municipal Development District received $73,553, an increase of 11.81% over January 2022. Fiscal year to date the EMDD has received $309,010, up 27.90%.
BANGS
The City of Bangs received $17,229, essentially even with last year’s allocation of $17,240. Fiscal year to date Bangs has received $80,140, an increase of 6.92%.
The Bangs Municipal Development District received $2,682, again essentially even with last year’s allocation of $2,699. Fiscal year to date the BMDD has received $12,440, up 9.98%.
