The City of Brownwood issued the following press release Thursday:
The City of Brownwood recently recognized several employees for their years of service along with a new I SERVE award for select employees who have gone above and beyond in their service to the community. A banquet was held for employees and their families to celebrate those team members who have reached milestones in their years of service with the organization. Twelve employees were recognized for reaching five years of service, two employees celebrated ten years of service, eight employees have served for fifteen years, three employees were celebrated for twenty years of service, two employees have served for twenty-five years, and two employees were congratulated for thirty-five years of service with the City of Brownwood.
Also recognized were four employees who received the I SERVE award. This award was newly introduced this past year during the first City of Brownwood all-employee conference. The award is given to employees who have gone above and beyond and have embraced the City’s core values of Integrity, Service, Excellence, Respect, Vision, and Empathy. Chris Lee, Stewart Stonger, Joshua Oden, and Kelly Charboneau each received the I SERVE award.
Celebrating five years of service with the City of Brownwood are: Sherry Hoover with Development Services, Brandy Wells with Finance, David Harte with Human Resources, Roland Soto with Parks and Recreation, Kelley Charboneau with Sanitation, Justin Dillard with Sanitation, Erica “Michelle” Ezra with Sanitation, Robert Gruber with Sanitation, Roy “Don” Henry with the Senior Citizen Center, Crystal Buitron with Utility Billing, Kevin Reeves with Wastewater Collection, and Celisa Cox with the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Celebrating ten years of service are Justin Prince with the Fire Department, and Dakota Chrane with Information Technology.
Celebrating fifteen years of service are Stephen Adkins, Jesus “Jessie” Castillo, William “Blake” Guthery, and Harold “Joe” Stieber III, all with the Fire Department. Also recognized for fifteen years of service are, Lisa Dick with the Health Department, Jennifer Fris and Michael Harrell with the Landfill, and Joe “Aaron” Taylor with the Police Department.
Three employees celebrated twenty years of service. Jody Horton with the Fire Department and Fred Bastardo III and James Kidd with the Police Department were recognized for their longevity with the City of Brownwood.
James LeMond with the Fire Department and Douglas “Eddie” Tompkins Jr. with the Waste Water Treatment Plant were celebrated for serving twenty-five years.
Finally, celebrating an impressive thirty-five years with the City of Brownwood are Lydia Castaneda with Utility Billing, and Howard Hall with the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
