Robert Lee Wilson, 64, of Blanket, Texas passed away Monday, December 5, 2022. A graveside service with family will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, December 8th, 2022 in Eastlawn Memorial Park, Early Texas under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Robert was born November 18, 1958 in Athens, Texas to Willie and Eula Wilson. He grew up in Odessa, Texas and married Corina Grissom on November 3, 1987 blessing him with 3 children. Robert worked in the oilfield as a Lathe Operator in a machine shop, he retired from Mud Pump Maintenance in 2015. He enjoyed bass fishing and all things nature. Robert loved to have friends and family together but his favorite was spoiling the grandkids. He was a jokester, loved to make people laugh and could always get out of trouble with the wife by being funny, she couldn’t resist. Robert was a laid back, happy go lucky, hippie type who had a very strong faith, loved the Lord, loved his neighbors and was loved by all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his wife, Corina Wilson of Blanket; sons, Jason Wilson and wife Lynzy of Odessa, Robert Wilson Jr. of Longview; daughter, Kellie Box and husband Chris of Longview; grandchildren, Marissa, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Bentley, Kimber and Jason Jr.; sister, Peggy Link of Odessa; as well as several nieces, nephews, great & great-great nieces & nephews and many cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Eula Wilson; brother, Jack Wilson; and sister, Darlene Savell.

The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Solaris Hospice for their care and friendship.

Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
