EULA – The Bangs Lady Dragons earned their first victory under former Brownwood assistant and new head coach Chesney Neely Tuesday, knocking off Roby, 43-38, in neutral site non-district action.
The Lady Dragons – who played their season opener this past Saturday and lost to Cross Plains, 59-27 – trailed Roby by a 13-12 count after one quarter, led 21-17 at halftime, and took a 33-32 edge into the fourth period.
Leading the way for Bangs was Kasey Solis with 14 points, Neeley Bradley with 13, Joey Newton with eight, Jaylee Valdez with six, and Raylee Hutchins with two points.
Bangs (1-1) is scheduled to host Dublin at 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
