- On Wednesday, Sept. 21, Deputy Chris Angel assisted Sgt. Andre Smoot in reference to a suspicious activity at North State Highway 279. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana and had three local warrants. The individual was booked into the Brown County Jail for the three warrants and Possession of Marijuana Less Than Two Ounces.
- On Thursday, Sept. 22, Deputy Jim Cornelius was assigned a Call for Service at the Law Enforcement Center. A complainant reported he believes he was scammed into revealing his personal identifying information on a job application to obtain employment. Two suspects were identified by the victim.
- On Thursday, Sept. 22, at about 6 p.m. Deputy Chris Williamson was responding to a disorderly conduct at Briarcrest Dr. in Early. A non-physical argument between a female and her former roommate over lost property.
- On Friday, Sept. 23 at approximately 4 p.m., Sgt. Andre Smoot completed a call referencing a dog being bite by another dog. Pertinent information was gathered, and an information report was completed. This particular call didn’t involve a dog running at large issue and only an information narrative was completed.
- On Friday, Sept. 23, Deputy John Geis was patrolling Highway 279 when he initiated a traffic stop on a green SUV. Deputy Geis gained consent to search the vehicle from the driver. While searching the vehicle, the driver admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. An arrest was made, information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Friday, Sept. 23 at approximately 7 p.m., Sgt. Andre Smoot was dispatched to a dispute. Once on scene, it was determined no criminal offense occurred and parties were asked to split up for the night. The original suspect, who was intoxicated, started walking into the public roadway and was arrested for Public Intoxication.
- On Saturday, Sept. 24, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to the LEC building. This was in regard to contraband in the jail. Information was gathered, an arrest was made, and a report was done.
- On Saturday, Sept. 24, at 11:43 a.m., Deputy Ricky Herring was dispatched to CR 269. This was in reference to an Estray calf. The calf had no identifiable markings, tags, or brands. Information was gathered and a report was taken. The calf was transported to the LEC pens.
- On Sunday, Sept. 25, at around 2:44 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover arrived at CR 564. This was in reference to the resident wishing to trespass her ex-spouse from her new rental property. After serving the trespass warning, a report was made.
- On Sunday, Sept. 25, at 9:04 p.m., Deputy John Geis was dispatched to FM 3021. This was in regard to a man being threatened with a knife. Information was gathered, an arrest was made, and a report was done.
- On Sunday, Sept. 25 at approximately 5 p.m., Sgt. Andre Smoot was dispatched a call, by phone. This was regarding a lost wallet. Pertinent information was gathered, and a report was completed for a missing wallet.
- On Monday, Sept, 26, Deputy Williamson and Deputy Langley responded to suspicious person in the CC RV Park. Deputy Williamson and Deputy Langley made contact with the resident, who stated he was threatened by a suspect. The victim wanted a Criminal Trespass Warning issued to the suspect.
