Bonnie Autrey beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away September 10, 2022, at the age of 81 years old. Family will host a time of reflection on Saturday September 17, 2022, at 2:00pm, at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. Family and friends are invited to come help us honor and celebrate Bonnie’s life.
Bonnie was born February 21, 1941, in Oklahoma, to Floy Evans Lee and William Henry Lee. She was the younger daughter of 8 children. She attended Priddy High School and was known as a socialite to many. Bonnie married the love of her life, Robbie Noel Autrey, on August 13, 1956. From their union came four children, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. They celebrated their love for 57 years and retired to Comanche, TX. Bonnie shared a love with her husband that many always dream of and truly adored.
Bonnie is survived by 3 beautiful children, Debbie Hollander and spouse Danny Hollander of Comanche, TX; Robin Long and fiancé Thomas Turpin of Kermit, TX; and Brenda Butler and husband Larry Butler of Brownwood, TX; her grandchildren Dana Hollander of Comanche, TX; Rose Walkoviak and husband Matt of Rising Star, TX; Renah Rodriguez and husband Aaron of Kermit, TX; Deidra Hollander of DeLeon, TX; Larenda Bode and spouse Dustin Bode of Breckenridge, TX; Robbie Hughes of Brownwood, TX; Rikki Long and spouse Robert Lee of Kermit, TX; Cameron Butler of Brownwood, TX.; 10 amazing great grandchildren Courtnie and Breanna Reed of Odessa, TX, Preston, Hunter and Aryiana of Rising Star, TX; Esperanza, Noel, Dalila, Anthony and Robert (Rob) of Kermit, TX; Austin, Graci, Emily, and Aubrey Bode of Breckenridge, TX. She also had a number of nieces and nephews.
Bonnie spent many years in her lifetime serving her community and working as a dispatcher for the Cisco Police Department and Kermit Police Department, where she worked side by side with her soulmate who served as a Police Officer. Bonnie was a woman who was devoted to her family and loved God. She had a love for gardening and spent much of her time landscaping, tending to her flowers and the vegetable garden that she put countless hours into. Bonnie loved music and found joy in dancing and singing songs for her family.
Bonnie is proceeded in death with her husband Robbie Autrey; son Wayne Autrey; parents William and Floy Lee; Sister Edith Autrey; and many other siblings and close relatives.
Memorials are suggested in memory of Bonnie Autrey to Alpha Omega Hospice at 104 South Broadway St. Brownwood, Texas 76801.
