The Heartland Association of Realtors has released the real estate statistics for the month of August 2022.  Among the highlights:

*** 45 homes sold in August 2022, 9.8% more than August 2021.

*** The median sales price was $199,500, 7.8% higher than August 2021.

*** The average number of days homes spent on the market was 54.  That is 33 days fewer than August 2021.

*** Housing inventory is 2.9 months, 0.6 months more than August 2021.

*** Active number of listings is 121, up 37.5% over August 2021.
