Dolores June Phillips, 76, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Aug 10, 2022.
She was born to Billie June Moore in Brownwood, Texas. Mother Billie June Moore and Bill Buzbee raised Dolores, along with Grandparents Tom and Clare Mae Moore. She Graduated from Ballinger High School before enrolling at Lamar University in Orange, Texas.
Dolores married Clifton Phillips in 1967 and they lived together in Houston, Texas for 34 years before relocating back to Brownwood. Dolores is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clifton Phillips and two sons: Wesley Phillips and his wife Stephanie, Derek Phillips and his wife Robin. She was a loving “Gran” to six grandchildren, Parker, Landon, Brooke, Kori, Ella, and Miley.
Dolores was a devoted to, and immensely proud of her family. She loved her family and friends and was always there for them when needed. She is remembered for her passion for gardening, painting, crafting, traveling, and of course shopping.
There will be a Celebration of Life held in her honor at The Depot Civic and Cultural Center in Brownwood, Texas on Saturday, September 10th from 1 to 3pm. We know she would want us to remember all the good times and memories being with family and friends creates; we will honor her wishes and dress casual for a gathering of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
