- On Monday, July 25 at 10:10 p.m. Deputy Ricky Herring was dispatched to W. US 67. This was in reference to a complainant being dog bit. Information was gathered on Friday, July 29 at 1:13p.m., and a report was taken.
- On Tuesday, July 26, Deputy Saydie Bradley received a call for a dog attacking and killing livestock at Silent Timbers, Early. A Dog Prohibited from Running At Large form was given to the owner of the dog. A report was made.
- On Thursday, July 28, Deputy Jim Cornelius was assigned to escort an inmate to District Court. This was to testify in a trial. As the spectators were exiting the courtroom for lunch, an individual made hand gestures in the view of the witness. The witness felt the gesture was intended to intimidate her and influence her testimony. The suspect was identified to court personnel.
- On Friday, July 29 at around 7:28 a.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover spoke to a Brown County resident. This was regarding a civil matter. Then the resident requested a trespass warning on her ex-stepmother. On Saturday, July 30 at around 1:37 p.m., Deputy Gover went to the residence at the 1700 block of County Road 199. A civil standby was completed, and the ex-stepmother was trespassed from the property.
- On Friday, July 29, Lt. Pete Bastardo was dispatched to CR 550. This was in regard to a donkey being found on the property. Contact was made with the owner of the property, who advised he had no idea where the donkey came from. The immediate area was checked, and no owner could be located. The donkey was Estrayed and brought to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office cattle pens for safe keeping.
- On Saturday, July 30, Deputy Saydie Bradley responded to CR 13. This was in regards to a deceased male, age 91. A report was made.
- On Sunday, July 31, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to E US 377. This was for a report of criminal mischief. Deputy Mathis spoke with the property owner in regard to the incident. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Monday, Aug. 1, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a burglary. The caller advised while her husband was at work, an unknown person(s) entered their residence. The person(s) took several items, including two handguns. A report was made.
- On Monday, Aug. 1, Lt. Pete Bastardo was met with an individual in regard to forgery. The individual stated he had been named executor of an estate. The individual recently discovered Power of Attorney deed had been, what he believed to be, forged. Two suspects have been named.
- On Monday, Aug. 1, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief. The caller advised several juveniles entered the building at the May School football field, removed a bucket of paint, and poured it onto the sidewalk outside the building. A report was made.
- On Monday, Aug. 1, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 215 in Brownwood. This was in reference to the theft of several items. A victim reported a suspect had taken several items from his property and was now refusing to give them back. The items included an air-conditioner unit, a pear burner, and some steel pipe.
- On Monday, Aug. 1, at approximately 10:27 p.m., SO units were dispatched to the area of Buckview Rd and Buckhorn Rd. This was in reference to a welfare check on a possible suicidal subject. Dispatch advised the subject stated he had got into a fight with his brother and now he wanted to commit suicide. He also stated he wished officers would just show up and shoot him. He told dispatch he was going to commit suicide and then hung up. The suspect was located shortly after and calmed down. He was taken back to the house and MHMR was contacted and evaluated him on scene.
- On Monday, Aug. 1 at about 7:07 p.m. Deputy Byron Langley spoke, by phone, with a victim who stated her German Shepard dog had been attacked by her neighbor’s Great Pyrenees Dog.
- On Tuesday, Aug. 2 at approximately 12:50 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with an individual in reference to an assault family violence report and investigation. The individual said her common-law husband assaulted her while she was driving with him. The individual had swelling on her right hand, as well as bruising to the inside of her hand from trying to block the suspect from hitting her. The individual said she didn’t want to pursue charges, but wanted things documented for a possible civil divorce proceeding.
- On Tuesday, Aug. 2 at approximately 5:49 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke and Deputy Sgt. Jayson Bastardo were dispatched to CR 237 in Brownwood, TX. This was in reference to a domestic disturbance. The witness advised a suspect was breaking things around the house and threatening family members. The suspect struck a victim in the face and then the victim took the suspect to the ground and restrained him until officers arrived. The victim had some noticeable redness and swelling to the right side of his head and face area. The suspect was placed under arrest for Assault Causing Injuries-Family Violence and transported to the BCSO County Jail.
- On Wednesday, Aug. 3, Deputy John Geis was attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle continued at a high rate of speed, failing to pull over. The driver was later identified and placed in custody for Evading with a Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving. The passenger was identified and placed into custody for Public Intoxication.
- On Thursday, Aug. 4, Deputy Jim Cornelius was assigned a Call for Service at the Law Enforcement Center. Lana Webb reported she received a telephone call from an Individual who she believed was attempting to scam her out of her identifying information. The individual identified himself as an individual with Amazon.
- On Thursday, Aug. 4, Deputy Saydie Bradley had three goats Estrayed from CR 234. The goats were taken to the Brown County Jail pens. A report was made.
- On Thursday, Aug. 4, Deputy John Geis was traveling north bound on Hwy 279. Deputy Geis conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford Mustang for defective license plate light. After preforming a Standard Field Sobriety Test on the driver, Deputy Geis placed him in custody for Driving While Intoxicated. A report was made.
