Sharon married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Ronald “Wayne” Allgood, on February 5th, 1966. Together they enjoyed 31 years of marriage and proudly raised two children, Angela and Jody Allgood. Sharon took pride in being an amazing wife and mother. Sharon loved the Lord and spending time with her family and many friends. She was compassionate, kind and a very giving person. If there was a need, she did her best to fill it. Sharon was a true caregiver and many times she would put her personal life on hold to go take care of sick family members or friends. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and hanging out with them. Her grandchildren called her the cool “Cat Granny” because she was the Granny who loved her cats. Sharon also enjoyed being a member at New Beginnings Church where she could be found anytime the doors were open. Those who knew Sharon, knew her love of shopping! Specifically for purses, shoes and especially jewelry. She was never seen without her jewelry on. She also loved finding the perfect “just because” items that she thought others needed or would like. She was always thinking of others when she was out shopping with her friends. Sharon’s faith in Jesus and her commitment to her family and friends never wavered. As she left this earth, it was a blessing knowing that she is walking with her Lord and Savior, alongside all the loved ones who passed before her.
She is survived by her children, Angela Jones and husband Richard Jones of Brownwood, Jody Allgood and wife Mica Allgood of Brownwood; three grandchildren Ashley Jones, Corbin Allgood and Jayton Allgood; two great grandchildren, Molly Evetts and Jett Evetts. She is also survived by many special friends and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceeded in death by her loving husband, Wayne Allgood; Her parents, “Red” and Margie Tinney. Her sisters, Georgann Humble and Connie Jean, and her brother, Jerry Wright.
If you ask Sharon today how she was doing, she would say… It’s All Good. Until we meet again!
