The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Monday regarding a pair of recent arrests:
Jessica Goodwin
On Friday, July 8, 2022, at approximately 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1600 block of Avenue E regarding a report of an assault. The caller on 911 stated that a female was assaulted by another female.
When officers arrived, they located the victim 38-year-old Jessica Lynn Goodwin standing in the yard. Goodwin was bleeding from her head and forehead.
During the investigation, it was learned that 28-year-old Jade Sommers Harden of Brownwood was standing in Goodwin’s front yard when she arrived home. Harden approached and accused Goodwin of slander and began assaulting her. Everyone witnessing the event and Goodwin believed that Harden used brass knuckles during the assault and injuries to her head and body were consistent with this device.
Harden was located at a nearby residence and interviewed about the assault. At the conclusion of the interview, Harden was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault w/a Deadly Weapon.
Keshire Eady
On Friday, July 8, 2022, at approximately 2 p.m. officer Randel Ferguson was dispatched to the apartment complex at 2131 Indian Creek Dr. regarding a report of people yelling around an apartment.
Upon arrival, Officer Ferguson met with a female occupant of the apartment who later detailed an assault which occurred between her and her girlfriend, identified as 21-year-old Keshire Laushaun Eady of Early. Based on the information gathered at the scene and a follow-up interview with Eady at her home in Early, Eady was arrested for Assault FV, Impeding Breathing.
